Duck Duck Beach

This weekend, I went to duck beach in the Outerbanks of North Carolina. I had a fantastic time bathin' in the sun, watching people play beach volleyball, eating fresh donuts and made some new friends.

Chillin at a beach house watching basketball. Go Nuggets!

My cute friend Laura and I!

One morning, we went for a drive on the sand dunes and we saw wild horses!! By far the coolest part of my weekend. Wouldn't you say this colt is adorable!?

On our drive back to DC, we stopped at a farmers market in North Carolina. It was a relaxing and warm weekend. The Outer banks are so cool, I'm a big fan of East Coast beaches!

Two Canons

Last month I had two cameras, now I have none! I dropped one in the mountains. The other died, mid-shot. I didn't even realize cameras had a lifespan.

"Get your Fried Dough over here"

Allegra and I went back to this guy, Rob, to get this clip. His scones were amazing, until the wind picked up and blew the powdered sugar all over my blouse..

Rob's a charmer:
"Get your fried dough over here and you'll end up with friends like these.." (pointing to us)

'I sail!' -What About Bob

This weekend I went to Boston to visit my college friends, Dan & Allegra. Dan goes to MIT and has access to their sails so we took a ride on the Charles River. I have been pining to get on a sailboat for years-check and check! A big thanks to Dan for making this happen!

Allegra and I walked the Freedom Trail and stopped for lunch and shopping at Fanueil Hall/Quincy Market. The street performers were pretty cool and then we found Ben Franklin! Turns out ole Ben is a bit of a slime-ball.

Legs and I had a few photo shoots with each other! I think they turned out pretty cute..

Look at what a darling family the George's are. I have a small crush on their son Max, he's a babe!

Dan/Legs live on the top floor of a complex and they have the best view of the city. We weren't able to go to a Red Sox game but I felt like I was there because I could see Fenway Park from their place!

Waiting in line for some candied cashews, I love street vendors! Allegra is holding up Red Sox peanuts, these people are serious about their Sox!

Legs, do you realize it's been over 5 years since we've hung out? I can hardly believe that cuz we didn't skip a beat! Thanks for taking me in this weekend and showing me your beautiful town, I can't wait for a trip to Seattle! I seriously can't get that 'apple bottom jeans' song out of my head!

Andrew & Jessica Wood

I went to Utah this past weekend for Jessica and Andrew's wedding. I've known Jess since high school and I met Andrew in college, so I was excited when they started dating-what a small world! Unfortunately, it rained most of the wedding day but the umbrellas made for some fun pictures!

This picture is a modge-podge of Jessica's life: friends from high school, college, and post-college. It's interesting how our lives are intertwined because I hung out with Jessica's high school friends in college and my college friends are Jessica's post college friends. I love all of these ladies and I'm glad we all got together.

My sister, Tawna, was in town from Denver and we had fun planning our weekend together. We were at my parent's house one morning and starting playing the game we LOVED as children-Airplane! My little sister, Katrina, couldn't quite hold me up which was hysterical cause she was trying so hard but Tawna is mega strong for her stature of 5'1".

My cousin Liz came to hang out with the family and this is a picture of us with my dad, "Monkey Mike". I think that's the nickname Liz's mom (his sister) dubbed for him. Also, this is Libby- one of my darling nieces.

My best friend from high school, McKell(right), blessed her 3rd son this weekend and I made it for the service. I can't believe she is a busy housewife with 3 toddlers, our lives could not be any more different! Bridget (left) was one of our good friends in school and she married McKell's brother so now they're sisters! Her son, Hundley, has the cutest curly locks.

It was such a busy, perfect weekend that I can't wait for the next trip home!

Here's some more shots of the weekend:
