Cherry Blossom Festival

This weekend was a lot of fun. A group of us went to dinner at Rugby and went to a movie (21) in Georgetown. We had a competition seeing who could blow a bubble within a bubble at dinner (real mature, right?) On Saturday I went with some friends to the Kite Festival and then had some s'mores at Cosi with Nicole and her mom.
Spring is 'technically' here in D.C. It's not very warm, but the Cherry Blossoms are out! Saturday was the Kite Festival down on the Mall (the land connected to the monuments) and the tourists have arrived: there were floods of people everywhere. But it was a beautiful day!

Kami and I found it amusing that this 'caution' was posted on such a tall sign.

This is a pic of Jenny, Kami and I down by the tidal basion. You can see the Jefferson Monument on the right of this picture. There were people EVERYWHERE on Saturday...it was making me crazy.

The kite festival was cool, there were a lot of different kites, some huge and some small. This picture doesn't do it justice...the kites just look like flecks of dirt on my camera but it was a beautiful site.
This is my nephew Quinn (and apparently my alfalfa sprout). My sister and her family came into town for a White House Tour and they stopped by the mall to get a hot dog with me before heading back home.

This is Julie (Curits). Do you live in DC? We are almost neighbors. I am in Cleveland. You look like you are having a blast. We plan on heading that directions sometime maybe this summer. If that actually happens we should get together for a bit.
