On Friday, I threw a party with a good friend.
Ryan Clark Werner
We go way back to 2003.
In 2007, he drove me out to DC--what a trip!
Somehow we lost contact for awhile.
But recently have become the best of friends.
...
He's thoughtful, accepting and fun.
I adore him and he's raised the bar for guys.
...
Some things you should know:
1. We coach each other with dating
(he's also available if you know anyone)
2. There's nothing he can't/won't do.
3. He cofounded a non-profit organization
(I hope that link worked. Fight the New Drug is an organization run by 4 guys from USU.
They are pushing to make known the troubling effects of pornography.
Have they done any good in the world today? I think so..)
4. He gets after me for swearing.
5. He told me a story years ago that I think about often.
His friend went to a bday party as a child.
When she got home, she told her dad all about it.
Her dad kept asking,
"Did the birthday girl have fun?"
It's our motto and it reminds me not to be so self-absorbed.
And ironically, he saved the cake on my bday this year!!
Party crashers:14 year olds that waltzed in. ate food and mingled at our party last week.
Ryan's so positive and encouraging.
Life makes more sense when he's around.
I hope everyone has a friend like this.
Happy Belated Birthday Bro-skee!
