Fortune Cookie Tradition

As a little girl, when my parents went to the temple they'd bring me back a fortune cookie
(from mandarin gardens, where they'd get dinner).
At one point I remember asking my mom to bring me back temple cookies.
talk about pavlov's dog.
Years later in college, I went with them to mandarin gardens after their temple trips.
Coming from a big family, I loved this because it was our time to catch up.
I forgot about this tradition the past few years...
...until I found some restaurants in SLC that I knew my dad would LOVE.
Last week my parents came to SLC for a temple trip.
So of course we got together for dinner.
We switched things up and had Vietnamese instead but...
...we still got fortune cookies!
Thanks for the delicious dinner Ma&Pa!
I really like Traditions! More than I'll probably admit.
And I want to start one of making Gingerbread Houses the weekend of Thanksgiving.
Who's with me, Perkins Clan?

What a fun tradition!!! I either don't remember it or I was never a recipient of the fortune cookies! ;)
Gingerbread houses after Thanksgiving is awesome! We've been doing it the past few years! I'm glad you'll be a part of that tradition now!
