Chung Tai Shan Monastery 中台山禪寺

This is how I get from Point A to Point B on the weekends.  Tanier dubbed this the 'I'm with Stupid' note.  I should've learned more Chinese while living here, but having Emily write me notes is more efficient!

Tanier, Lisa and I traveled to Puli last weekend to visit my friend Shan Fen.  Once again, she treated us with hospitality, the people here are crazy kind- it makes me feel so guilty.   She took us to the Chung Tai Shan Monastery and then we went to the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Center.  I thought this was going to be a museum, but it was an amusement park, what a pleasant surprise!

The monastery was AMAZING, I wonder how much it cost to build.  We were only able to tour the first (of three) level.  They had beautiful gardens like Temple Square.  Check it out...
