Over 5 years ago, I lived with these good friends.
Our nicknames: Dolly Llama, Tapioca, Melford, Heavier.
We had such a good time in our little, beautiful student house.
With ONE bathroom, mind you.
We had 'family' dinner 4x a week, went to parties, played dress up, and were always laughing.
I LOVED that year with them! It was one for the books.
Lucky for me, Dolly needed a place to live recently.
From the minute she moved in, it was like no time had passed.
We're far too comfortable with each other...
i.e: How many ppl are you comfortable using the bathroom in front of?
Probably not many. I'll second that...enough said.
Anyway, the good ole days are back again!
She makes me laugh every single day. Here's two examples from yesterday:
We were brushing our teeth at the same time...instead of waiting, she turned around and started using the tap in the tub. Genius right? There's more...
Dolly keeps complaining that her pillows are too tall.
My solution: buy new pillows.
Her solution: hack off a slice or two til it's the right height.
Look how gently she's placed these scary tools by her bedside.
It's not normal....so I document the quirks so I can remember to share them with our friends!!

Later that same night as I was sorting (clean) laundry, I discovered these foreign socks. They're not mine...so of course I placed them on the fridge.

Which made me realize I'm not normal either...and our quirks are somehow perfect together. Maybe cuz we love each other regardless--we're like family!
The stories could go on and on: like the time she transported food IN the crock pot and it spilled all over her car, or all of her herbal remedies, etc. But I'll save those for another day.
The moral of the story: I could not be happier to have Dolly back.
